Outlook Responsible Tourism Awards – Meghalaya 2023
Scope of Work
Partnering with Outlook Responsible Tourism Initiative to design and craft the trophy for the “Indian Responsible Tourism State Awards” – Meghalaya edition, 2023.
In a fusion of Meghalayan heritage and sustainable artistry, the IRTA Meghalaya Trophy embodies local craftsmanship and cultural richness. Each of these trophies also stand for the spirit of collaboration between its makers. From the “knup,” a traditional bamboo rain shield, adorns the trophies in a miniature version to bring out traditional art from rural areas of Meghalaya, the wooden body, a testament to the woodworking skills provides a striking contrast. Adding a layer of softness is the Eri Silk band at the base, featuring a traditional pattern, meticulously woven in Ri Bhoi, Meghalaya.
The final touch of modernity and precision comes from the laser engraving giving the trophies a seamless finish.
